Does death have an age? How do we know when it is our time? Can one be prepared
for death?
Most people have heard of babies, children, teens and middle age people dying.
However, mostly we associate death with being old and enjoying life- as many say. I
want you to know that 250,000 to 300,000 people die on an average day, some days
more. The people who die in those age groups are everyone, babies to the elderly.
Your time is set, when you’re born, and when you are to die.
So if this is true then why do people think that death happens only when one is old?
- They are taught that death should happen only when one has had a full life.
- It’s logical to think this way; everything old dies, not young.
- Many people think their life is preserved because of their status. (For example, the rich, powerful, beautiful)
- No one wants to accept death.
The truth is that death is beyond our control, and age is just a number. Yes, we
would like to think that once we are old, and have lived a fulfilling life, then our time
should come. However, this is a myth. Death has never been guaranteed when it
will arrive.
What should you do? How should one prepare for death?
